Announcement: YouMedia for Teens

Calling unschooled and homeschooled teenagers!

For the past 4 years teens from all over Chicago have taken the train or bus to the downtown Chicago library each Thursday to gather in a unique space designed just for them. Youmedia homeschool teen club meets on thursdays 1:30-3:30pm to work on projects in the arts and media. It is open to homeschooled teens and has members from all over the Chicagoland region.

Activities at Youmedia are often student driven, and facilitator Matt Jensen works with them to help them accomplish their projects. Lately students have spent a lot of time in the maker lab working with 3D printers and vinyl cutters to design interesting art. Other projects in the past have included collaborative music, book clubs, decorating a library window, photgraphy in the loop and book binding techniques.

Youmedia homeschool teen club is open to all homeschooled teens in the Chicagoland area ages 13 and up. Must have a library card to participate. This is a drop off activity.
